The times you see are the times they’re free
The frustrating part of booking online is never the booking. It’s the not knowing. You pick a time, get a vague confirmation, and then wonder whether anyone actually saw it. Here is exactly what happens when you book on Salon Select.
Real availability, not a wish list
The times shown are the times that professional is genuinely free. Their opening hours, their existing appointments, their lunch break, their day off. If it is on the screen, you can have it.
You will know if you are confirmed
Some professionals confirm automatically and you will know you are booked before you close the page. Others approve appointments themselves. You are told plainly which one you got:
- Booked. Confirmed. See you then.
- Requested. They need to confirm. You will hear back within a day, and if you do not, the time is released and you are free to book elsewhere without chasing anyone.
Long appointments are held properly
If you are booking braids or locs that take most of a day, the whole appointment is held. You will not arrive to find someone else in the chair because a system assumed your five-hour appointment was thirty minutes.
No account required
Your name and a phone number is enough. Create an account if you want to keep track of your appointments, but you do not need one to book.
Paying
You pay the professional directly at your appointment, the same way you would if you had walked in. Nothing is charged when you book.
Beauty supply stores
Supply stores do not take appointments, so their listings show what they carry and which brands they stock, with directions and a phone number instead of a booking form. You can search by brand.
